My experience at Power Physical Therapy was awesome. Mark was a great doctor. He was great at checking on how I was doing and his recovery plan for my knee allowed me to get back on the baseball field quickly! Thanks to the people at Power PT, my knee feels leaps and bounds better than before I came in. I will be forever grateful for my time here at Power PT and am excited to continue my baseball journey!

When I first came to PT, I remember my knee being very swollen. I had a hard time with the bike riding and the heel downs were nearly impossible for me to do. I’ve come such a long way since me beginning here. 20 heel downs and I’ve doubled my weight in my leg exercises. Swelling is almost nonexistent and pain is virtually gone. Thank you!

When I came in back on February 13, 2019, I was walking with a cane. I had a tremendous amount of pain and stiffness in my left knee. I tore my meniscus when hiking down a hill back in 2004 and had surgery to repair it that same year. For about ten years –no problems. Then arthritis set in and I started having pain and tightness.

I had injured my calf training for a half marathon when I came in. I had taken a week off thinking it would simply go away, but when it didn’t I decided to seek help. Dr. Mark diagnosed a calf strain and through different exercises, stretches, and massages, I was able to slowly recover. While I wasn’t able to run the half marathon by precaution because I was only 5-6 weeks away from the injury, I did run my fastest 5k without any pain or re-injury.

Before coming to Power Physical Therapy, I had so many injuries. For 2 years, I had knee tears and pain on my right side. My athletic trainer told me to come here and strengthen my knee for the next season. At first, I was a bit afraid of going to a new place and meeting new people whom I would have to be vulnerable with on my injury. However, when I arrived, everyone was so thoughtful, empathetic, and supportive; they cheered me on with my successes and assisted me during hardships.

I came to Power Physical Therapy after a full knee replacement; at the time I was using a walker and had very limited movement. In the next six months, I gradually improved from using a one-pound ankle weight to lifting thirty pounds (on both legs) and walking without the walker.

I started coming to Power Physical Therapy after my second of four surgeries related to one knee injury. Throughout the one and half years of surgeries, I was unable to perform any physical activities that involved the knee. Due to the nature of the injury and recovery, my left quad, calf, and hamstring severely atrophied. During my tenure here, they were able to help rebuild much of my muscles and strength back where physical activities were possible. Though I was instructed never to play soccer again, I am still able to jog, lift, and do many of the activities I loved and thought I may not be able to do without pain.

I appreciate the professionalism of the staff and their patience with my treatment. I could not ride my bike before treatment and now I can. Riding the bike is critical to my recovery. I am very proud of my new knee and could not have gotten to use it properly if it were not for Power PT.

My orthopedic surgeon recommended Dr. Nowlin at Power PT for my frozen shoulder injury in early 2014. I was amazed by the steady progress and I eventually was able to have full mobility without stiffness and pain. Three years later, I came back to Power PT for a knee injury. When I first started, I walked with a limp and could not use the stairs without pain. After doing strengthening and balancing exercises for 6 weeks, I progressed well and now I can walk normally and take the stairs with no pain anymore, my knee muscles are stronger than ever before.

My experience at Power Physical Therapy was amazing. At first I was a bit scared going through the exercises, however, everyone working at the office was very helpful and patient during every exercise. The relationships that I have built with people working here are ones that I will always remember. All the exercises provided by the therapist are very helpful when recovering from an ACL and meniscus surgery. I could not have gone to a better therapy place than Power Physical Therapy.

Power Physical Therapy is great! I’ve been here for almost a full year and there was never a moment that I disliked. The staff was always kind and they made me feel a part of their family! Regarding movements I had issues with throughout my rehabilitation; my posterior knee definitely bugged me! However, Dr. Mark was always there to reassure me of my inquiries and accommodated for it. Keep up the good work Power PT!

I came in after a meniscus repair. The physical therapy was well paced. The staff was attentive to any discomfort and adjusted the program accordingly. When I came in, I had trouble just going up and down the stairs. Now I feel confidant resuming my normal activities. The biggest difference here versus other physical therapy facilities is the personal attention. There is always someone following you through the exercises and keeping track of your progress.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here at Power Physical Therapy with Mark Nowlin and staff. From surgery to final PT session, I feel that my physical recovery has gone very well and steady improvements were noticeable on a weekly basis. My range of motion for my left knee was about 85% and after my sessions, I was able to get back to close to 100% at around 140˚.

I came to PT because of pain in my IT band. This kept me from running for almost a year. I tried a lot of different workouts to fix my problem but nothing worked. I gave Power Physical Therapy a try and came in 3 times a week. A few months later, I’ve run 2 half marathons and on my way to run a full marathon overall, Mark and his team worked their magic and got me feeling 100%. Thanks to them, I am able to continue to do something that I love. RUN!

I arrived at Power PT shortly after major surgery to my left leg and ankle. I had fallen downstairs at work and then needed emergency surgery to mend a broken tibia, fibula, and a shattered ankle. Dr. Nowlin first saw me when I had numerous screws in my leg and ankle, a 6-8 inch plate along the lower portion of my leg/ankle, and a rod running down the length of my tibia. I was in pain and needed to build strength and walk. Dr. Nowlin was a God-send, and determined to get me to where I needed to be…he knew what was possible, and he didn’t let up for a minute. Before the second surgery to take out all the hardware, I was not able to walk down stairs easily – I had to take each step by bringing one foot to the other at each step. However, after the second surgery, and after a few weeks using the RRT method, I discovered I could walk down stairs normally – one foot at each step. This was a “hurrah” moment!!

Before coming to therapy I was very limited in movement and didn’t trust my ankle to be able to do simple things such as jumping or planting. Since I’ve been doing therapy, I find myself moving much easier in everyday life and being able to do a lot more with basketball. Even though I am still not fully cleared, I finally do not feel like I am hurt anymore. I think the hands-on work has really loosened up how tight my ankle has been after surgery. Thank you for everything and helping me ensure that my senior year is the best ever. I’m excited to no longer be limited by this injury!

When I came in for the initial consultation for my ankle, Dr. Nowlin’s comment was, “Wow! I’ve never seen one that bad before!” Then again we were dealing with a severed ligament that was integral for support and stability. Dr. Nowlin also explained that due to the injury I had suffered nerve damage.
After a couple of weeks, I was walking without pain again though I still had a little pain depending on the angle that my ankle was in. A few weeks later, that was gone.

In January I began a boot camp for the first time. After a couple of months of burpees and mountain climbers, my right foot hurt. I walked on it for a few days more until I was limping. I could no longer put my weight on my foot. I came for help in March. I began therapy and in a week I could walk normally. Thank you!

I have been to Power PT multiple times. I’ve come here for a quad injury, a sprained ankle, and a patellar tendon injury. They have helped me recover from every one of these injuries. The longest it’s taken me to recover has been about three months. I would credit Power Physical Therapy for these quick recoveries. I have not experienced any other issues with these past injuries. If I have any problems in the future, I would definitely come back.

I came to physical therapy with a strange heel injury that I wasn’t even sure physical therapy would help solve, but in four weeks I am pain-free. Before, any sort of pressure on the back of my heel, including wearing shoes, would cause pain. Now I’m back to wearing shoes and can even jog with no pain. The staff and doctor were very helpful and friendly at every visit.

I came into Power Physical Therapy for ACL/LCL recovery. Like any new process, I was nervous about it and the outcome. However, Dr. Mark and his team worked with me every step of the way and trained me on all the exercises I needed to perform in order to regain full range of motion. The hardest part of the recovery was regaining full range of motion, but through regular visits to Power Physical Therapy, I was able to fully flex and extend the knee.

I was suffering major pain for my lower back and even used to have to miss work due to not being able to get up from bed. PT helped me by customizing a plan fit for my needs that worked for my busy schedule. I work 7 days a week, so having a pain-free back is essential. With their help, I was able to quadruple my running time on the treadmill. I was able to attend boxing and kickboxing classes again, and more importantly I was able to keep working without having to miss time.

My experience with Power PT was life-changing! Sports-related injuries over years of running track left me with a dull lower back pain that consistently persisted. I had trouble doing most physical activities. Before physical therapy, I was in pain after standing or sitting for long periods of time. After three months of PT, I am doing great! I am able to run, hike and most physical activities without back pain. I would not be doing great without the help of Eric and Dr. Mark. Thank you for giving me my life back!!

When I first came to Power Physical Therapy, I was dealing with Parkinson’s disease and had just had my halo removed after 3 ½ months, following my fall precipitated C2 fracture. The entire staff was exceedingly and passionately helpful in guiding my road to recovery.
